A petition on Gopetition, one of the leading international petition hosting portal,  has called  on the US State Department to immediately declare the RSS a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

The petition signed so far by over four thousand people reminds that the Indian outfit takes direct inspiration from the European fascist movements such as Nazi party. 

Referring to the acts of violence committed by the RSS members, the petition recalls that the US commission on International Religious Freedom in its report last year also warned that the outfit's agenda to alienate non Hindus or lower caste Hindus is a significant contributor to the rise of religious violence and persecution.

The petition mentions that the RSS including its many subsidiaries has been linked to many major incidents of anti-minority violence all across India including the 2002 Gujarat Pogrom.
