UN appeals for $35b for global aid in 2021

The United Nations has warned that 35 billion dollars would be needed for aid next year due to the global coronavirus pandemic and risk of possible famines.

Talking to newsmen in Geneva, UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock said that 235 million people worldwide will need some form of emergency assistance next year, which is 40 percent higher as compared with current year.
