In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India is imposing colonial laws to change the Muslim majority into a minority in the territory.

APHC General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmed in a statement in Srinagar said the Kashmiri people living especially near military camps are being forcibly evicted from their properties to settle Indian Hindus, mostly RSS and BJP workers.

The APHC leader reiterated that the Kashmiris would resist India’s nefarious agenda to change the demographic composition of IIOJK, issuance of domicile certificates to non-residents, construction of hundreds of thousands of houses for non-locals and massacre of youth in the territory.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum in a statement in Srinagar reiterated its call to release all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists from Indian jails.

It appealed to human rights groups, civil society activists and legal fraternity to raise voice against the prolonged detentions.

Meanwhile, Democratic Freedom Party, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami and other Hurriyat organizations in their separate statements in Srinagar while stressing that every conscientious human being must raise voice for the besieged Kashmiri people said standing by them is to support humanity.

They urged the international community to bring Narendra Modi to book for arbitrary arrests, extrajudicial killings, forced disappearances and imposition of draconian laws in the occupied territory.
