Palestinians are observing Day of Rage on Friday against US President's decision to recognize occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Rallies and protests will be taken out in Israeli-controlled checkpoints in the West Bank and Gaza after Juma Prayers on Friday.
On the other hand, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a speech in Gaza urged Palestinians to abandon peace efforts and launch a new intifada.
He stressed that a united Jerusalem is the capital of the entire Palestine.
Haniyeh announced termination of the peace process in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, thousands of protesters in Indonesia and Malaysia joined rallies today to condemn Washington’s decision to recognize occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. (Reuters/ Tass/ Al Jazeera/Washington Post)
