(Expert on Afghan Affairs)
Daesh’s presence can be felt in the region since 2010 and hostile powers are engaged to strengthen its influence. Daesh poses serious threat to all the regional countries. The group carries out horrible attacks across the region by using Afghan soil and Afghan authorities are badly failed to curb this militant group. They are unable to tackle this threat effectively that help increase uncertainty in the region. Iran and China develop close proximity with Taliban to undermine the growing threat of Daesh. The regional stakeholders widely believe that Daesh can be tackled well by Taliban instead of Afghan government.
