Department of Archaeology & Museums working under National History and Literary Heritage Division, Government of Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Museum, Rietberg Zurich, Switzerland on 12 March 2018 at Zurich.
From Pakistan side, the MoU was signed by Engr. Aamir Hasan, Secretary, National History & Literary Heritage Division, during a ceremony held at Museum Rietberg Zurich Switzerland. From Rietberg Museum Zurich, Mr. Albert Lutz, Director of the Museum.
Signed the MoU. Syed Junaid Akhlaq, Director General, Department of Archaeology and Museums, Islamabad to was also present on this occasion.
The MoU will provide an adequate framework for future institutional co-operation between the Museums of Pakistan and Rietberg Museum Zurich in the areas of capacity building, joint research programms, publication scholarships for doctoral and post-doctoral research for professionals and young scholars of Pakistan in museology in the universities of Switzerland.
The MoU will also open avenues for visit of museum experts to each others,countries, holding of Seminars on different aspects of Museum related activities.
