LHC reserves verdict on petition against PAT's protest
January 17, 2018

A three-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved its ruling on a petition filed by the traders of the Mall Road against Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) protest.

Punjab Advocate General Shakeel-ur-Rehman and counsels of the respondents were present in the court.

The Punjab government presented its report regarding the protest in the court.

Meanwhile, the court dismissed the plea requesting an initial order to stop the protest.

The administration stated earlier that the protesters should not choose Mall Road, as Section 144 is in place in the area which forbids more than four people to gather at one place.
