Rs2.5b allocated for welfare of minorities in Punjab: MPA

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Member Punjab Assembly, Sardar Mahinder Pall Singh has said that government has ensured respect for religious beliefs of all citizens.

A record amount of two point five billion rupees have been allocated for the completion of welfare oriented projects for minority community in Punjab during the current financial year.

In an exclusive interview with our Bahawalpur Correspondent Sajjad Parvez, he said that PTI government is fully aware about the meritorious services rendered by minority communities in progress of Pakistan.

He said that one billion rupees have been allocated for the welfare of minority community across Punjab while four hundred million rupees are being spent on the conversion of minorities’ colonies into modern localities.

He said that two hundred million rupees will be distributed among poor deserving people belonging to minorities so that they can observe their religious events in festive ways.

Terming the historic moment of opening of Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh community, he paid rich tribute to Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that he won the hearts of millions of Sikh community.
