Pakistan and Mauritius have agreed to promote cooperation in cultural, educational and literary sectors.

The understanding came during a meeting between Adviser to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddique and Mauritius High Commissioner to Pakistan Rashidally Soobadar in Islamabad on Wednesday.

They agreed that the literary works of both the countries will be translated into each other's languages to benefit people of both the countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Irfan Siddique also welcomed the proposal of the high commissioner for establishment of an Urdu centre in Mauritius.
