Former SSP Malir Rao Anwar appeared before the Supreme Court on Wednesday in connection with Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case.

A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar, is hearing the case.

Rao Anwar was arrested on orders of the court, which rejected his plea for protective bail.

The bench also rejected his request for inclusion of representatives of ISI and IB in the joint investigation team probing Naqeebullah murder case. The bench pointed out that ISI and IB have nothing to do with a murder case.

The court restored bank accounts of Rao Anwar and also asked the IG Police Sindh to provide him necessary security.
