A week-long Calligraphy competition and exhibition began in Islamabad on Friday.

Adviser to Prime Minister on National Heritage Irfan Siddiqui while speaking at the inaugural ceremony said the selected Calligraphers will be sent to Turkey for higher education while their artifacts will be published in a book form.

He said that the jury of experts has selected 20 artifacts out of four hundred received from across the country.

Irfan Siddiqui said first ever directory of Calligraphic artifacts with brief introduction of Calligraphers is being finalized and it will be published soon.

The exhibition will continue till 28th of this month.
