Former Chairman PCB Shahryar Khan passes away in Lahore

Former Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shahryar Khan passed away in Lahore after protracted illness.

He was 89. 

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the passing of former diplomat and chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Shahryar Khan.

In his condolence message, Shehbaz Sharif said Shahryar Khan (late) was a seasoned diplomat and he played a very good role in promoting Pakistan's foreign relations. He said during his tenure as High Commissioner and Ambassador, he promoted Pakistan's foreign policy interests in the best possible way.

The Prime Minister said as the chairman of the PCB, Shahryar Khan performed his duties splendidly. He said services of the former diplomat for Pakistan's diplomacy and cricket will always be remembered.

He commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
