In Afghanistan, at least 56 Taliban have been killed in Kunduz and Faryab provinces over the past couple of days during operation by security forces.

According to an army statement, 44 Taliban including three commanders have been killed in Kunduz province during an ongoing operation.

Meanwhile, twelve Taliban were killed in another incident when fighter planes struck their base in Qargan area of Faryab province.
