Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that to ensure transparency, all the information about receipt of funds and goods along with expenditure and disbursement will be made available on a special website.
Talking to a delegation of All Pakistan Newspapers’ Society in Islamabad, he said the website is being launched in the next few days.
Highlighting the significance of the National Oversight Disaster Management Council, the Prime Minister said the objective is to ensure transparency and optimum utilization of funds so that the benefit reaches the flood affectees.
The Prime Minister said that ten billion rupees have been pooled by federal and provincial governments for disbursement of cash grant to flood affected families and more would be added to it soon.
On this occasion, the All-Pakistan Newspapers Society announced to donate free space to government advertisements for flood affectees or related to relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected families. The Prime Minister appreciated their gesture.
