President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani have emphasized that terrorism would never be allowed to succeed in its nefarious designs.
They expressed these views while condemning a suicide bomb attack in Kohat that left more than eighteen people killed with fifty others injured.
The President said that such cowardly acts could not deter the resolve of the government and the people of Pakistan, who are determined to eradicate this menace.
The Prime Minister, in his condemnation, termed the attack as the most heinous crime against innocent civilians on the sacred day of 27th Ramazan. He said that these terrorists have no respect for the peaceful religion of Islam nor any sense of humanity.
The president and the prime minister ordered an inquiry into the incident and directed the concerned authorities to provide all possible medical care to the blast victims.
