He was eighty-five.President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Naib Amir of Jamat-e-Islami Professor Ghafoor Ahmad.
The President said Professor Ghafoor was religious and political leader.
In his message of condolence‚ the Prime Minister paid tributes to the services of Prof. Ghafoor Ahmed for the people and the country. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira also condoled the death of Professor Ghafoor Ahmad.
