    PPP leader and Member Punjab Assembly Syed Ahmed Mujtaba Gilani says present Government carried out record development during its tenure.


    Speaking in "Naey Uffaq" programme of National Broadcasting Service on Tuesday night‚ he said that President Zardari is visiting Multan on the invitation of Former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. He said President Zardari inaugurated Rashidabad flyover in Multan today. He said that the President Zardari appreciated developmental projects in South Punjab.

    He said that former Prime Minister Gilani completed record developmental projects in the area to address people's deprivation. He added that PPP wants to form South Punjab province in the larger interest of the area but PML-N did not participate in the meeting of Parliamentary Commission on new provinces as they are against the formation of new provinces.

    Participating in the programme‚ law expert Khalid Ranjha lauded the approval of Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill‚ 2013 in the Senate.


    He said that provision of safety to investigation officials‚ lawyers and witnesses is must to bring to the book the culprits. He said that there should be zero tolerance to counter terrorism.


    Talking in the programme‚ Justice (Retd) Mian Ajmal termed the approval of Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill‚ 2013 in Senate as very significant because terrorism has reached to its peak in the country. He said that the new bill will be helpful to bring terrorists to justice.
