Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan will extend all possible help to establish the first-ever Chinese Overseas Economic Zone.
He was talking to Chairman of the Haier Group Lu Keng and Chairman Ruba Group Haji Koch Muhammad in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan welcomes the Haier Ruba joint ventures and it would encourage more joint ventures to promote economic cooperation between the two countries. He said joint ventures between the private sectors is the best way to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
The Chairman of the Haier Group informed the Prime Minister that Chinese entrepreneurs are keen to invest in Pakistan and the establishment of the Special Economic Zone would go a long way in facilitating Chinese investment in the country.
He said that the Haier Ruba has already brought in initial investment of 35 million dollars.
