The re-opening of Khunjerab Pass corridor is a positive development. Khunjerab has been closed for all kinds of trade handlings during the COVID pandemic. Due to the closure of the Pakistan-China Border, important Pakistani supplies were stuck on the Chinese side. Moreover, the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is vital for the economy of Pakistan keeping in view the current economic situation in the country. This mega project can boost the Foreign Direct Investment in the country. Moreover, the relocation of industries in Pakistan would create job opportunities that will result in increasing exports. So, Pak-China bilateral trade relations and completion of CPEC within specified time is the need of the hour.
