A senior most actor of TV and stage Anwar Iqbal Baloach died in Karachi today (Thursday) after protracted illness.

He was 71.

His funeral prayer will be offered after Nimaze- Isha at baitul Moqaram masjid and will be laid to rest to Mewa Shah graveyard in Karachi tonight.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has extended condolences on the demise of renowned Urdu and Sindhi drama artist Anwar Iqbal.

In his statement, the Minister said Anwar Iqbal's memorable role in dramas is imprinted in the minds of his fans. He said the vacuum created by his departure will not be easily filled.

He prayed for the departed soul and bereaved family.
