Pakistan, Belarus to enhance cooperation in diverse sectors

Pakistan and Belarus have agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, IT, and vocational training as priority sectors.

An understanding to this effect came during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek today [Tuesday].

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Belarus bilateral relations and the robust cooperation across political, trade, economic, defence, and cultural fields.

They reaffirmed their shared commitment and resolve to elevate the long-standing friendly relations between Pakistan and Belarus to new heights.

The Prime Minister extended a warm and cordial invitation to the President of Belarus to undertake a visit to Pakistan next year.
