A delegation of tribal elders, led by former Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukatullah Khan, met with Federal Minister Amir Muqam in Islamabad today and offered to ease tensions between the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal government.

The Minister welcomed the jirga's offer and said the government will support any initiative that serves the interests of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the federal leadership will be apprised of the jirga's recommendations and proposals.

The tribal elders thanked the Minister and expressed their readiness to play a conciliatory role.
