Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik has called for better preparedness and assessment of relief needs during emergencies and natural disasters.    

He was addressing a pre-COP 28 conference held in Islamabad today to develop a collaborative framework for the conference being held in Dubai next month.

The Chairman NDMA outlined potential disaster risks and highlighted the role of advanced technology and anticipatory actions to implement a proactive disaster management system.
