Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency that it intends to produce uranium enriched well beyond the threshold set by the 2015 Vienna accord.

A spokesman of the UN nuclear watchdog told a foreign news agency that Tehran intends to enrich uranium up to 20 percent in its Fordow underground plant, to comply with a law recently passed by Iranian parliament.

However, he said Iran has not exactly stated when this enrichment activity would begin.
