Christian community in Pakistan as well as in the rest of the world is celebrating Palm Sunday today.

It is the holiest day for the world’s Christians which falls on the Sunday before Easter.

The day is celebrated with processions and distribution of blessed palm leaves and special prayers and services are held at the churches.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis presided over mass in St Peter's Square in the Vatican City today, as he kicked off events leading to Easter.
