World Autism Awareness Day wasobserved on Sunday.

Theme of this year was "Transforming the narrative: Contributions at home, at work, in the arts and in policy making".

Observance of this day aimed to spread awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder and the obstacles that people with ASD face every day.

Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman has urged the need for establishing a coordination mechanism among all stakeholders to address issues of patients of autism.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with the World Autism Day in Lahore, he stressed upon spreading greater awareness about autism.

The Governor also called for devising a framework to diagnos the autism at early stage keeping in view to make patient a productive person in society.
