Syed Ali Gilani sacrificed whole life, energies and assets for the cause of Kashmiri people. He should be kept on the highest prestige. The veteran leader personified and magnified the extra-ordinary effort against the Modi government. He stood against the oppression and tyranny of the Indian governments for decades. The torture and oppression and use of pellet guns reflect the inhumane treatment of India towards the Kashmiri people. Now, the women and children have stood against the terror of Indian brutal forces.

Everybody is sad about the death of the great leader. Syed Ali Gillani was a stalwart of Kashmiri struggle. He stood against the aggression of Indian forces. He was a 90 years old young man. Nobody could break his will and determination for freedom. He continued his peaceful struggle for freedom. We should condemn the way his funeral processions and burial has been treated. His family has been tortured and brutalized even at his funeral. Indian security forces are using inhuman tactics against the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The UN, OIC and other global forums should speak for the Kashmiri people. The message he left will remain a symbol of guidance for all the times to come. 

 Dr. Waleed Rasool (Hurriyat Leader)

Syed Ali Gilani was a great leader, writer, scholar and human being of his time. He was a great teacher, dignified and respectable person. He was extremely popular among the Kashmiri people. He was an icon of resistance against the brutal Indian forces. He had an extra-ordinary affiliation with the state of Pakistan. He had a global vision and he wanted Kashmiris to be on the right side of history. He was a true democrat and peace loving person. He was a political philosopher and visionary statesman. He was a great guide of the Kashmiri nation. Let it be self-evident that he has been killed under custody of Indian security forces. However, his legacy will continue for all the times to come.

Altaf Hussain Wani (Senior Hurriyat Leader)

The way Indian brutal forces have treated the funeral of the great man reflects the fear and anxiety of the Indian government. Syed Ali Gilani was under house arrest for more than 11 years. Despite the deployment of 900,000 security forces, India has failed to defeat the will and determination of the Kashmiri people. Sayyed Ali Gillani was a man of principles and his legacy will continue. The global organizations have extensively written about grave human rights violations in IIOJK. The killing of Kashmiri people in fake encounters is very alarming. India will never succeed in its nefarious designs in the Kashmir valley. The whole of the Pakistani nation stands with the Kashmiri people. 

Mushtaq Ahmed Shah (Senior Hurriyat Leader)

Our great leader has been martyred under the custody of Indian security forces. He was the custodian of the freedom movement in IIOJK. The senior leadership of Kashmir has been assassinated in jails earlier too. However, India has gained nothing even after infliction of brutalities against the innocent Kashmiri people. The global community should stop the policy of criminal silence over Indian brutal human rights violations in Kashmir. The Indian government should know that it cannot break the will and determination of Kashmiri people through use of force. It cannot sustain its oppressive rule in Kashmir for a longer period of time. The global community should make serious efforts for the resolution of the Kashmir issue within the framework of UNSC resolutions.
