First round of talks between government and the opposition was held at the Parliament House in Islamabad today.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq chaired the meeting.

The participants held detailed discussions on the prevailing political situation in the country.

The second round of talks will be held tomorrow at two p.m in the Speaker's Chamber.
