Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Fatima Zahra El Mansouri on her appointment as Morocco's first female Prime Minister.

In his message of felicitation, the Chairman Senate described her appointment as a significant milestone in Morocco's political history and an important recognition of women's role in political leadership and public service.

He said the appointment of Morocco's first woman Prime Minister is another significant development for women's political participation in the Muslim world.

The Chairman Senate noted that Pakistan and Morocco enjoyed longstanding fraternal relations, rooted in mutual respect, shared values and close parliamentary and people-to-people ties.

He expressed confidence that bilateral relations, particularly parliamentary cooperation, would be further strengthened during the tenure of the new government.
