First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has urged all parents and caregivers to ensure that every child under five years of age receives anti-polio drops during the campaign.

In her message on the occasion of the sub-national polio vaccination campaign, which starts today, she said Pakistan has made significant progress in reducing polio cases by 99.8 per cent since the launch of its national eradication programme in 1994.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari said that the goal is to make Pakistan polio-free by June next year, and this requires sustained efforts to reach every eligible child.

She paid tribute to the frontline polio workers who continue to serve communities across the country.
