Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has taken notice of the recent controversial appointment within the Pakistan Cricket Board's selection committee.
According to Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, who also serves as the supreme authority overseeing the Pakistan Cricket Board, took decisive action amidst the controversy surrounding the selection of player Salman Butt.
In response to the directives from the Prime Minister, the controversial appointment was promptly revoked.
The Caretaker Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan, a country abundant in talent and with cricket being a beloved sport, deserves a selection committee that operates without controversy.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar instructed the Pakistan Cricket Board to include selectors known for their impartiality and good reputation in the selection committee. He stressed that selectors chosen based on merit and without controversy are essential for selecting the best team to represent Pakistan in international cricket.
The Prime Minister expressed his commitment to ensuring that all decisions related to Pakistan Cricket are made purely on merit. He hoped that, just like in its illustrious past, Pakistan Cricket will once again strive for success by making all appointments based on pure merit.
