Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced to impose 25 percent tariffs on more than one hundred billion dollars worth of US goods.
The move comes as retaliation after US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China.
President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico has also promised retaliatory tariff and nontariff measures after the US step.
And China's commerce ministry said it would file a legal case against the United States at the World Trade Organization, and vowed to take corresponding countermeasures.
Earlier, the US President had imposed 25 percent tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico each and ten percent on China.
