Int'l Investors keen to invest in Pakistan due to rising economic opportunities: President

President Dr. Arif Alvi says investors from all over the world are keen to invest in Pakistan due to its liberal investment regime and rising economic opportunities.

He said this while talking to President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Bandar M.H. Hajjar in Islamabad today.

The President said the first phase of CPEC projects is near completion and now we are focusing on second phase, including establishment of Special Economic Zones, which will transform Pakistan's transport network into an economic corridor.

The President emphasized that the incumbent government is undertaking reforms to steer the economy out of current economic challenges.

He underlined that the government is also focusing on affordable Housing and Small Medium Enterprises sectors to boost employment opportunities and economic growth.

The President appreciated Islamic Development Bank support for the Polio Eradication Programme. He also expressed confidence that the existing excellent bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Islamic Development Bank will further strengthen in the years ahead.

Prime Minister appreciates Islamic Development Bank's long standing engagement with Pakistan

The Prime Minister has appreciated the Islamic Development Bank's long standing engagement with Pakistan and its support towards capacity building, polio eradication and economic growth.

He was talking to President Islamic Development Bank Dr Bandar M H Hajjar and members of his delegation in Islamabad today.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of IsDB for member countries and Muslim communities worldwide.

He mentioned that the current government and the Bank shared the common goal of enabling the people to lead better lives and achieve their full potential.

Imran Khan apprised President IsDB about the flagship initiatives of Government of Pakistan, namely "Ehsaas" and "Naya Pakistan Housing" aimed at social welfare and poverty alleviation.

The President IsDB expressed his appreciation of the government policies for pursuing people centric growth policy.

The delegation expressed support for the government's flagship "Ehsas" program.
