PM Modi's ruling party loses three crucial Indian state elections

In India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP has failed to win three key state elections amid devastating situation of COVID-19 in the country.  

According to results, Trinamool Congress party of Mamata Banerjee has grabbed more than 200 seats in the 294-seat assembly of West Bengal. Similarly, in Tamil Nadu, the main regional opposition party, DMK won the elections while a left-wing coalition retained power in Kerala defeating BJP-led alliance with no seats.
