The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the international community to take serious notice of Indian state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar said the suppression of Kashmiris' voices and their struggle to protect their identity and political rights cannot silence their legitimate aspirations for freedom.
The spokesman denounced the intensified use of military force, a surge in raids on the residences of ordinary people, activists and youth, arbitrary arrests and the attachment and confiscation of properties.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army and police have decided to tighten their military grip across occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the name of security and surveillance, especially in Reasi and Srinagar districts.
The Indian Army's Northern Commander, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Jammu, Tejinder Singh, visited Reasi district a day earlier to review the situation and assess operational preparedness in the hinterland.
