Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the historic city of Istanbul reaffirmed the enduring strength of the Pakistan-Türkiye Strategic Partnership.
In a post on his X handle, the Prime Minister said the focus of the partnership remained on trade, investment, defence cooperation, energy, connectivity, technology, regional peace, and people-to-people exchanges.
Shehbaz Sharif said both sides reaffirmed the shared belief that dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual respect remain the only sustainable path to resolving disputes and preserving international peace and security.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to President Erdogan for his warm hospitality. He said the two sides agreed to fully harness the immense potential of their partnership to achieve the mutually agreed target of 5 billion dollars in bilateral trade and to further strengthen the enduring bonds of brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Shehbaz Sharif said he also attended the Pakistan-Türkiye Business Conference, where he interacted with distinguished representatives of Türkiye's business community.
He said the optimism, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by Turkish business leaders reinforced his confidence that the economic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye is entering a new and exciting chapter under President Erdogan's leadership.
