Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has stressed the need to make the tax system more transparent and efficient to enhance revenue generation.

Presiding over a meeting about the deduction of withholding and sales taxes in Peshawar today, he said the payment of taxes is a hallmark of a responsible nation and an important component of national development.

Faisal Karim Kundi said a committee comprising officials from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department should be constituted to resolve the sales tax issue.
