Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has called for national unity to protect the country's frontiers and effectively counter the menace of terrorism.

Addressing a public gathering in Lahore today, he said the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army, whose sacrifices for the country will always be remembered.

Ali Pervaiz Malik said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and COAS and CDF, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are taking all possible measures to protect the country from terrorism.

He also urged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to fulfill his responsibilities as terrorism is once again resurfacing in the province.

On the fuel subsidy, the Minister said the government is providing relief to the people despite rising global prices.
