On the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, immediate measures have been taken for the safe repatriation of the injured Pakistani nationals and the mortal remains of those who lost their lives in Somalia.
Four injured Pakistani nationals, Usman Ghani, Aqeel Khan, Amin bin Shams, and Yasir Khan, have been repatriated to Karachi aboard Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET-694.
The same flight is also carrying the mortal remains of three deceased Pakistani nationals, Rafiullah Khan, Syed Kashif Umar, and Mahmood Ahmad Ansari.
Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET-694 is scheduled to land at Karachi Airport today at 4:40 p.m.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Ethiopia Atif Aziz and Ambassador to Djibouti Aqsa Nawaz were present at Addis Ababa Airport to see off the injured nationals and oversee the repatriation of the mortal remains.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally and continuously monitored the entire repatriation process.
