Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has introduced a new digital feature on the Pak Hajj App and the Hajj digital portal, allowing online submission of requests for substitute Hajj applicants.
Under the new initiative, in case of unforeseen circumstances, a successful Hajj applicant can now nominate a close relative as their substitute.
In case of a deceased Hajj applicant, a close relative can submit an online application as a substitute.
To process the request, the nominated substitute applicant must be registered on the Hajj portal.
Applicants are required to upload relevant documentary proof justifying the substitution, such as a medical certificate or a death certificate.
The Ministry confirmed that Hajj dues already deposited by the original applicant will be utilized for the substitute pilgrim.
