Pakistan, Turkiye stress need for enhanced business cooperation
November 04, 2026

Pakistan and Türkiye have underscored the importance of sustained institutional engagement, enhanced business cooperation, and closer coordination to translate existing economic opportunities into tangible trade and investment outcomes.

The consensus was reached at a meeting between Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Turkiye's Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat on the sidelines of the 42nd Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) in Istanbul today.

Jam Kamal Khan highlighted investment opportunities for Turkish companies in Pakistan, particularly the 1,000 acres of land earmarked for Turkish enterprises in the Karachi Industrial Park.

The Minister invited Turkish businesses to capitalize on the opportunity by establishing industrial units and expanding their manufacturing and investment footprint in Pakistan.
