Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says political leadership and Pakistani nation strongly condemn killing of a Sri Lankan national in Sialkot.

In a tweet today [Saturday], he offered condolence to bereaved family, government and people of Sri Lanka. He said perpetrators will be brought to justice.

The Minister said such acts have no place in our faith and country.

In another tweet, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistani leadership will ensure that all perpetrators of Sialkot incident will be brought to justice swiftly.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi informed that he made a telephonic conversation with his Srilankan Counterpart Gamini Lakshman Peiris and expressed deep grief and condolences on the killing of Srilankan citizen in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Special Representative to Prime Minister on Religious Har­mony Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has said that more than 112 culprits have been arrested in Sialkot incident.

Talking to newsmen on Saturday, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan himself is monitoring the entire case, while Inspector General of the Punjab Police is leading the investigation.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi also urged the religious scholars and civil society to play their effective role in eliminating terror activities in the country.
