Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima has said a group comprising linguistic and technology experts is being formed to develop Urdu equivalents for modern technology terminology.

Speaking at an event in Islamabad today, she highlighted that the majority of technology terms currently lack Urdu translations and stressed the importance of incorporating these words into the national language to ensure wider accessibility and understanding.

The Minister for Information Technology said the government is also working on public digital infrastructure to promote seamless interoperability of data.

Shaza Fatima said the government is focusing on the productive employment of the youth. She mentioned that during Indus AI week, the Prime Minister announced investment of one billion dollars in AI as well as training of one million people in AI skills.
