In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Complete shutdown was observed today (Wednesday), to register protest against the Indian Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to the UN-designated disputed territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, call for the strike was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to make it clear to India as well as the international community that New Delhi is seen as an aggressor and illegal occupier of Jammu and Kashmir. The entire territory had been converted into a military garrison.

The authorities suspended mobile, internet and train services in the Kashmir Valley. Several people were arrested during raids and crackdowns across IIOJK during the past few days.

Meanwhile, at a time when Indian Home Minister Amit Shah was on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the occupation troops martyred five more Kashmiri youth during widespread cordon and search operations in the territory.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman in a statement in Srinagar while denouncing the killing of the youth said the massacre of the youth makes a mockery of Amit Shah’s misleading claim that IIOJK has emerged as the most secured place after the repeal of Article 370 in August 2019.

Responding to the Amit Shah’s so-called announcement of development projects, the spokesman said that Kashmiris are not struggling for perks and privileges but for their inalienable right to self-determination.

The APHC termed Amit Shah’s rhetoric that India would talk to the Kashmiris, but not Pakistan as an attempt to hoodwink the international community as Islamabad is an important party to the Kashmir dispute.

On the other hand, a big rally was held in Muzaffarabad, today, to protest against the Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah’s visit to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
