Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the government will unveil a historic Kissan package next week for development of agriculture sector.

After holding separate meetings with various delegations of farmers, he directed the committee of ministers to present actionable recommendations for redressal of growers’ problems, in consultation with their representatives at the earliest.

Describing agriculture as the backbone of national economy, the Prime Minister said it is also very important for socio-economic development the country.

He expressed the resolve to provide all possible relief for development of agricultural sector and ensure welfare of growers in the light of the committee’s recommendations.
