Moreover, Pakistan has been supporting UN in resolving international disputes and issues as global peacemaker. Pakistan has been immensely contributing to UN peace mission in almost every unrest hit country in the world. UN has been very appreciative to Pakistan’s vital role in peace missions. Pakistan is also working with UN on disaster management and so many other areas. Antonio Guterres will hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other Pakistani leaders. This visit will provide Pakistan with opportunity to let Antonio Guterres know about Pakistan’s position on regional and international issues including Kashmir, Palestine and Mideast tensions. UNSG Antonio Guterres will definitely consider and weigh Pakistan’s recommendations on Kashmir and other regional and international disputes. Furthermore, Antonio Guterres’ visit to Pakistan is also very important in the background of Mideast tensions and he may ask Pakistan to keep on playing mediatory role in Mideast escalations.
