The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been informed that more than twelve hundred industrial units are presently operationalized in the province.
Answering a question during a question hour in the house, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Karim said that two hundred and eighteen industrial units are closed due to various reasons while work on three hundred and sixty six new industrial units is underway.
He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is easing the process of establishment of industries to boost trade and manufacturing activities in order to create job opportunities for public.
Talking to a point of order, Minister for Education Faisal Khan Tarakai said that government is committed to promote quality education in newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He asked the members of the assembly to identify all those areas in merged districts where still the facilities are missing.
The Minister said the education department has conducted the matriculation exams across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a transparent manner.
Later, the Speaker prorogued the session.
