Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Friedrich Merz on his election as Chancellor of Germany.

In a message on social media platform X today, he wished Friedrich Merz success in leading Germany towards greater progress and prosperity.

The Prime Minister said he looks forward to working closely with the newly elected German Chancellor to further strengthen Pak-Germany relations and enhance bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
