An impressive ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi today to mark Defence and Martyrs Day.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute at the Martyrs' Monument at the GHQ.

The Adjutant General of the Pakistan Army visited the Martyrs' Monument and laid a floral wreath to pay tribute to the martyrs.

During the ceremony, the Adjutant General held a special meeting with the families of the martyrs and expressed solidarity with them.

He listened to the issues faced by the martyrs' families and assured them of all possible support.

Besides this, impressive ceremonies were also held at the mausoleums of Nishan-e-Haider recipients Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed, Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed and Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed.
