A major development has taken place to promote industrial activity in Karachi with the facilitation of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

It has been decided to expand the Karachi Industrial Park as a major hub for export-oriented industries, investment and employment.

A Federal Special Economic Zone Authority will be established to oversee and implement the Karachi Industrial Park.
